momboss grant update
On Sunday, February 18, 2024, the Twin Cities witnessed the horrific incident of two Burnsville police officers and a fire-fighter paramedic losing their lives in the line of duty. One of the officers, Paul Elmstrand, the father of 2 young children, and husband to Cindy. There are multiple connections to this beloved family through our network and we are grieving with them.
After thoughtful consideration, we have chosen to shift the momboss grant nomination process and extend the 2024 momboss grant to Cindy Elmstrand-Castruita. As her Woodridge church community has stated- ”often the hardest days are the ones after the funeral service.” We feel called as a momboss community to rally around a local mom who needs us. On event day we will provide QR codes that will link you to the giving page provided by Woodridge, so that if you would like to donate to the benevolence fund it will go directly to support Cindy and her two children.
